First melt the butter and boil the milk, then let them cool. Separate eggs. Whisk the egg whites, and the yolks with the sugar and a pinch of salt until the sugar melts, and then add the liquid butter (it should not be hot, but not cold either), flour, vanilla and milk, at the end add the egg whites that incorporate into the dough with a spatula, taking care to mix lightly. It will be a pancake-like dough, don't worry it will harden when baked.
Cover the tray with baking paper and place in the hot oven. Leave for an hour and 15 minutes (depending on the oven). Care must be taken to bake well and not to shake the dough when checking if it has baked. The surface of the cake should be slightly "tanned", but not burnt!
